As a founder of GWP Brand Engineering – a Toronto based advertising agency – Philippe Garneau has been instrumental in the positioning, strategic engineering and growth of category leading brands such as ING DIRECT, Expedia.ca, Intact Insurance, and Rogers Communications, to name but a few. GWP’s work for these brands has helped rewrite the playbook on how brands are built in the 21st century, both internally and externally. Philippe believes that a brand’s positioning is more than a set of strategic words on a page. A brand’s positioning is, in fact, its very colright to exist in the marketplace. In addition to creating and sustaining national and international brands, Philippe has first-hand, field-tested experience counseling and assisting trusted brands that have encountered sudden challenges to their positioning and business.

Philippe is frequently sought out as a Radio and TV commentator, in both English and French, on a broad range of branding topics. He also teaches a senior year course in communications at a major Canadian University.
